What is metabolism and How Can I Control It?

People want to boost metabolism for one simple reason: they want lose weight fast. Many of them are initially overweight, while there are of course people who want just to live longer…

Also there are those who want to look sexier, who want to add muscle to their physique, or who just want to live a healthy, energy-rich life.

In this article I’m going to focus on helping those people who want to lose weight and do it fast.

And the reason is not because I think that the topic of weight loss is more important than other topics I could cover, but because I think I need to clear up a few false ideas that are circulating in the industry about boosting metabolism and fast weight loss.

There are several reasons why people are confused about the topic.

First and foremost, the lack of consistent information on this topic, unfortunately, is the biggest reason why people don’t have clear understanding of the issue.

And, there are also many food and supplement companies on the market which are making big money and do not want you to know fact from fiction.

Contrary, they want you to believe that constantly buying “low fat” foods are going to somehow speed up your metabolism.

Believe it or not but many people actually gain weight when they eat too many “low fat” products. These products often are loaded with calories from carbohydrates or proteins. All they are still calories that must be burned off if you want lose weight. Otherwise these calories will turn into body fat.

It’s true that some low fat foods can play a vital role in an overall eating program that is designed to speed up your metabolism. However, when you merely eat foods coming from packaging screaming “LOW FAT!” won’t do any good to your weight loss efforts.

As you can see, and probably feel from years of trying to unravel this whole metabolic mystery, this is a confusing, stressful, and indeed, potentially depressing situation.

Millions of people try to take control over their health and the shape of their body every year. However, each year, millions of people feel that they’ve “failed” because, try as they might, they just can’t speed up their metabolism.

And what is the reason for the failure? In fact it’s quite simple.

You see, overweight people

. . . tend to eat when they’re not hungry,
. . . they tend to have a larger appetite,
. . . they tend to eat “diet foods” more often (which are rarely conducive to weight loss as the label suggests),
. . . they tend to eat before they go to bed,

and worst of all . . .

. . . they tend to see themselves as being overweight.

That way of thinking and feeling is leading overweight people into predictable failure.

And as a matter of fact, he perceived failure is not a failure in any of these hard working dieters and exercisers…

The failure is with the medical and nutritional sector as a whole, which simply isn’t providing people with the right an useful information that they need to know in order to lose weight fast due to speed up metabolism.

And given the size of the nutritional field and the fact that so much of it is influenced by money-making enterprises (not all of the field, of course, but enough of it to make a difference), there’s really no sense in playing a “wait and see” game for when clear, consistent, and helpful information starts to flow out to people like us.

Your metabolism is basically a bunch of organs and glands that are responsible for regulating how your body burns food for fuel and how it converts that food into energy.

When all that said, there’s a good chance also that one of your body systems is out of balance or just plain not working properly and that’s almost always due to improper living, disease, drugs, or a severe accident.

Now you can clean up almost all of this mess read the information I’ll be providing here. Chances are you already know the basics associated with living a lean, healthy lifestyle and you only need a little guidance to put them into practice.
